Things might change for the better
It's good that changes might happen, but it has nothing to do with the EU.
Result: Neither
Many people have been struggling for too long.
For many years we have been told that our problems are due to Immigrants, Bureaucracy, etc.
I'd argue that the problems are much more complex, and we are not doing enough to help people.
I also take the point that "helping" people is tricky, as simply giving people money/subsidies can cause problems:
- Uncertainty that the money might stop coming.
- Undermines self respect, knowing you depend on "charity".
- Not easy to determine the correct amount of money.
So what happens when we leave the EU, and we start removing regulations that protect workers rights (to try and attract big businesses)?
For example, scrapping worker safeguards for agency employees and pregnant women?
And what happens when the cost of things continue to rise (due to a weak pound, and higher import tariffs), and wages continue to stay the same (due to a lack of growth)?
I'd suggest that people will find life even harder than they do now, and we might see more of the population unable to support themselves financially, which might result in the UK government doing something to help change the situation.
Unfortunately this has nothing to do with the EU.
If you disagree, or would like to add more details, please let me know.
You can suggest a reason for leaving the EU, or look at the other reasons.
